The plans for the music video I am pitching came together quickly, near the deadline.
Here are some further notes to supplement my submission.
For your consideration.
I intend to establish the hashtag #JPtelepathy to help gather social media attention.
With YouTube annotations/descriptions and my own social posts, I’ll encourage fans to tweet, post, and instagram personal anecdotes of telepathy, including that hashtag.
As a part-time web developer, I have experience using various social media marketing tools. I will create dedicated page on my site which will pull in and display all #JPtelepathy posts.
And I will regularly point followers to that page, fostering a sense of community and tribe as they see their posts among others.
See below examples pulling in #telepathy from Twitter and Instagram:
- The Telepathy video will bring attention to the local, very talented new media design team HFOUR – creators of the centrepiece “Quantal Quilt“
- I’ve become interested in approaching a local dancer or two for a few additional scenes to be intercut. Some choreographed dancing in front of the Quantal Quilt could be really great. (And there is money in the budget’s contingency section.)
Choreographed dancing reference:
Emma Thompson, wise and charming.
Here she is quoting choreographer Agnes DeMille:
“Living is a form of not being sure
Not knowing what next or how.
The artist never entirely knows.
We may be wrong,
But we take leap after leap,
In the dark.”

I won’t say whose big-league Calrec console this is, but he is super nice, and very supportive of independent music. Major thrill to receive a photo of my EP on it. Thank you!
Went to see the great documentary The Wrecking Crew on the big screen.
This year’s Remembrance Day / Veteran’s Day seemed especially thought-provoking to me.
Whether any of the wars and conflicts since WWII have been wise is a separate topic. What’s on my mind is the men and women who have served and sacrificed.
The suicide rates. The PTSD.
The reality that governments ask young people to give their limbs and lives, and yet treat them poorly on their return is…unconscionable.
We don’t address this issue enough.
